Two drivers.
One pass.
One winner.
Persistent 1v1 ranked touge server for Assetto Corsa. Challenge any driver on the pass, climb the ladder, run it back.

How a battle is decided
Two rounds on the same pass. You lead one and chase one; roles swap in between.
- Chaser overtakes
- Get past, then cross the line first, or pull out the gap the track calls for.
- Leader runs away
- Break the tow and open the gap past the track's limit. The Chaser is dropped.
- Tiebreaker
- Both rounds glued together? The Chaser who ran the smallest gap behind takes the battle.
The HUD, in the car
Live gap, instant results and challenges on the fly. The real Touge Shobu HUD, drawn over the road.

Cat and mouse,
settled in two rounds.
Every battle is a 1v1 between a Leader and a Chaser. You run two rounds and swap roles, and the driver who performs best across both takes the win and the MMR.
- Leader
- Sets the pace out front. Your job is to be clean, fast and unpredictable. Break the tow and open the gap limit to win outright.
- Chaser
- Hunts from behind. Stay in the tow, apply pressure, and overtake, then reach the line first or pull out the gap the track calls for.
How a battle is won
- Overtake
- Once the Chaser gets ahead, they win the battle on the spot by crossing the finish line first or by opening the track's set gap over the Leader.
- Runaway
- If the gap between Leader and Chaser exceeds the track's gap limit, the Leader has broken away and wins the battle on the spot.
- Tiebreaker
- If both rounds finish with no overtake and no runaway, the driver who chased with the smallest gap behind the Leader takes the battle overall.
In game, an overtake or a runaway shows as Sudden death: the battle ends right there, whichever round it is.
Other ways a battle ends
- Jump start
- Roll before the start and you lose the battle. Tournaments and team wars restart the round instead.
- Forfeit
- Quit mid-battle and your opponent takes the win.
- Disconnect
- Leave the server mid-battle and the driver still on the pass wins.
- DNF
- Once the Leader is home, the Chaser has 10 seconds to reach the line. Miss it and the Leader wins.
- Time limit
- A round that runs past the server's time limit goes to the Leader.
Three ways to play
Ranked battles are the heart of the server, with two solo modes to sharpen up between fights.

Time Attack
SoloSolo hotlapping. Start from the pit lane and chase the cleanest run you can. Records are tracked per track, layout and car; hold one and your name sits at the top of that board.

Training

Racing the clock
No opponent, no roles. Just you and the road. Time Attack is a solo hotlap mode for chasing the perfect run and putting your name on the records board.
Start from the pit lane
Roll out solo and get up to pace. Your lap is timed the moment you cross the start of the stage.
Keep it on the course
Only cutting the course throws a lap out. Clip a wall and the lap still counts, so keep pushing. Reset any time to start a fresh run.
Chase the delta
Every lap shows as a gap to the record: green under, red over. Only your single fastest clean lap is kept.
Take the record
Records are tracked per track, layout and car. Hold the fastest lap and your name sits at the top of that board.
Time Attack is unranked: it doesn't touch your MMR. It's pure pace, on your own time. Check the Time Attack board to see the records to beat.
Proximity voice chat
Talk to the drivers around you. Voices come from their cars and fade with distance, so the pass sounds like a real meet.
Nothing to install
Voice runs through Custom Shaders Patch. It connects on its own when you join the server.
Set a push-to-talk key
A card pops up in game the first time: click the button and press the key you want. You can change it any time in the hub's Settings, and wheel buttons work too. For more voice settings, use the Voice Chat app in the CSP sidebar. Can't hear anyone? Open its settings (gear icon) and, on the Playback tab, set the Device to your headset or speakers instead of FMOD; your microphone is on the Recording tab.
Voice follows the race
In a battle you only hear your opponent. In Time Attack and Training you're alone. Back in free roam, you hear everyone nearby again.
House rules
- Trash talk is fine. Harassment and toxicity are not.
- No griefing: don't block gates, park sideways, or sabotage other drivers.
- Checkpoint cutting or lag manipulation means a permanent ban, no appeal.
Questions
What is a touge battle?
Touge is Japanese for mountain pass. A touge battle is a 1v1 race down a narrow mountain road. On Touge Shobu the two drivers run two rounds as Leader and Chaser and swap roles in between: an overtake or a big enough gap ends it on the spot, otherwise the smaller chasing gap wins.
Is Touge Shobu free to play?
Yes. Joining and racing on the servers costs nothing. You need your own copy of Assetto Corsa, plus Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch, which are both free.
What do I need to join the server?
Assetto Corsa, Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch 0.2.11 or newer (0.3.x is recommended). Then press Join on the Connect page: Content Manager opens the server and offers any track or car you are missing before you load in.
How does the ranking work?
Ranked 1v1 battles move an Elo-style MMR: win and your rating climbs, lose and it drops, and beating a higher-rated driver is worth more. The Rankings page shows the ladder live, with every driver's rank tier.
Can I race without an opponent?
Yes. Time Attack is solo hotlapping with records for every track, layout and car, and Training lets you set your own sector gates and drill one part of the road. Neither touches your MMR.
Are there tournaments and teams?
Yes. Tournaments open sign-up on this website with Steam: a time-attack qualifying sets the seeds, then a 1v1 touge bracket decides the champion. Drivers also race in teams, and team captains challenge other teams to 3v3 or 5v5 team wars.
Ready to run it?
You need Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch 0.2.11 or newer; 0.3.x is recommended for no damage in free-roam. The Connect page walks you through both.
The boards.
Three ways to prove it: head-to-head MMR from ranked battles, raw pace in Time Attack, and style on the drift server's Drift runs. Pick a board.
- MMR
- Your skill rating. Win ranked battles to climb, lose and it drops. The leaderboard is sorted by it, highest first.
- Safety rating
- Your clean-driving reputation, from 0 to 100, so others know what to expect before they line up against you. Zero-contact battles push it up; collisions and penalties pull it down, and the lower it sits, the more your MMR gains get throttled.
- Best lap
- Only your fastest clean solo lap counts.
- Gap
- Every time is shown as a gap to the record.
- Record
- Hold the fastest lap and your name tops the board.
- Best run
- Only your highest-scoring solo drift run on each course counts, in any car.
- Score
- Angle, speed, line and combo, scored live on the drift server. Every gap is shown to the top score.
- Top score
- Hold the best run on a course and your name tops its board.
